Personal Motto: Be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.
How long have you been a runner? 7300 Days. I like to hike in the wilderness, but I’m always running late.
Happiest running moment: I had a climbing accident where a car sized Boulder damaged my leg and hip. After a couple months with crutches and little progress I became frustrated one day, dropped my crutches and started running, screaming in agony. Best run ever. It was my catalyst to healing.
Proudest running accomplishment: 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, First Place age group finishes at the Pikes Peak Marathon
Favorite local running route: Walker Ranch, of course! (I live by the trailhead)
Favorite distance: A little more than I have time for that day. Racing, 50 miles.
Favorite race: Pikes Peak Marathon
If you could lace up your shoes and go for a run anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? With the Rocky Mountain Runners!
Dreams: Living it right now.
When I’m not running I’m… Planning my next adventure.
Uphills or Downhills? Love downhills because it’s the only way I can still beat the other old men.
Favorite post-run beer: What is on tap at home. Usually a hoppy IPA and a milky stout.
