Previously from: Boulder (okay, Broomfield)
Personal Motto/Inspiration: Doesn’t look that bad
How long have you been a runner? I’d been a lifelong swimmer, but when I realized looking at concrete was boring I started trying out running in 2012. Being in Boulder, drifting onto the trails was inevitable!
Happiest running moment: Getting home after finishing a 32 mile backside loop from home in a blizzard, breaking trail in knee deep snow for 15 of the miles and getting semi-lost in Walker Ranch.
Favorite local running route: Up the 1st Flatiron to Green Mountain, down Saddle-Rock/Amphitheater
Favorite distance: Whatever gets you up and down the mountain
Favorite race: I like putting in hard efforts on lines I enjoy and trying to go after goals I can set myself from time to time. Not too into racing itself.
If you could lace up your shoes and go for a run anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? Ah, so many to choose from. Anywhere with big and beautiful peaks with awesome routes. Fjordlands of Norway and Chamonix come to mind.
Goals: Setting some fastest times on car-to-car Flatiron scrambles.
When I’m not running I’m… Electrical Enginerding
Uphills or Downhills? Technical uphills, snowy downhills
Favorite post-run beer: There is no substitute for raw spoonfuls of Nutella
I am a Rocky Mountain Runner because… They provide dangerously optimistic enthusiasm to fuel my fire.
